Feminists For Friendship

Hello there, I’m Katie. I’m 19, a feminist & a vegetarian. I am currently attending Empire Beauty School, but I’m not really diggin’ it. I don’t understand racism or homophobia. I like to have stimulating conversations and listen to other points of view on various subjects. I’d like to make some new friends that share common interests with me, so I guess just check out my page. (: Thanks for listening.

Hi! I’m Kelly and I am double majoring in women’s & gender studies and sociology at UW-Madison. I’m 21 and I enjoy knitting, reading, cats, and writing, among other things! I don’t have a lot of friends who label themselves feminists, despite having feminists views, and would like to find more people who, like me, have had their lives changed by it.

You can follow me at http://www.tumblr.com/blog/stopit1

Hi! I’m Hannah, I’m 19 and an aspiring animator. I am also a vegetarian, atheist, and Type 1 Diabetic. I work at (the finest) cupcake shop in Chicago and I would absolutely love to make some new feminist friends (I only have ONE!) both online and off. My tumblr is http://hrarara.tumblr.com/

(I’m the girl on the right side of the picture. Woop woop!)

Hi! I’m Colleen. I’ve been a feminist for as long as I can remember, even before I knew what to call it, I spend a lot of moments everyday outraged by the patriarchal society around me. I’m looking forward to a place where I won’t be outraged.

I’m getting my Masters in Sociology right now. I hope to go on to get my PhD after this and teach. I have a blog dedicated to sociology if you are interested and want to check it out here

Hi, I’m Mercedes! I’m nineteen, and I’m currently a junior at UCF. I’m planning on becoming an OT. I crochet, I dye things with Kool-Aid, I absolutely love sci-fi, I have an okay taste in music, I love soccer and my top teams are Emelec and (of course) the Ecuadorian national team, and if you follow me (amorphousblob.tumblr.com), be prepared for a deluge of zombies as well as cute animal photos as well as all of the above. I’ve been a feminist since eighth grade. So, um, yeah! If you’d like to be friends, feel free to message me.

:)

Hi! I’ve been a feminist before I knew what the word meant. I grew up with traditional parents and two brothers. The Middle Child Syndrome probably helped my natural sense of indignation about what I could do versus what my brothers could do. I’m in college, actually currently taking a class on American Feminism. So far I’m loving it. I’m not used to interacting with people on the internet, but I’m happy to hear about people’s experiences and know that you and I are not alone.

Hello there! My name is Caroline and I’m 21 years currently undergoing my 3rd year of college as an Bilingual Ed college. I identified myself as a feminist almost 2 years ago and beginning to get involved at my very own campus’s FMLA group :) I’m vegetarian and an atheist, and you can follow me at http://poorlittlerichgirrrl.tumblr.com/ <3

Hello! I’m Mandy. I’m a soon-to-be graduated senior from Pennsylvania studying music education.  I identified as feminist in college.  My blog has a little bit of everything on it.  I may not always be eloquent or say the right thing but I am interesting!  I also have a second blog that deals with health/fitness/body positivity.  I love talking to people and making new friends!

Hey folks! This is one of the coolest things I have seen as of late, and I’m super excited to have a space to connect with other feminists! My name is Jess, I’m 19, and I’m from London, Ontario. I’m in my 2nd year of university (currently switching into the Women’s Studies program!), and I’m on the core committees of the Women’s Issues Network and V-Day Western - we promote various non-violent, inclusive, grassroots initiatives on campus. We do a lot of vagactivism, culture jamming, and create safe spaces for past, present, and future womyn with awesome workshops about eco-menstruation and chestcasting. (We are also beginning to organize safe spaces for past, present, and future men to discuss their experiences of violence, which is very exciting.) I’m a straight, white, cis-gendered womyn who identifies as queer-friendly and is a fan of gender fluidity (so perhaps not entirely straight…only time will tell!) My tumblr is messedupmasterpiece.tumblr.com, feel free to send me a message if you’d like to chat! :)

(Also, you are all amazing people and hearing about your lives and what you’re studying and doing is awesome!!)

Hey, my name is Cassandra. I’m a senior theatre student in college and I’m not sure if I’m anarchist, bisexual, completely over society, or what. All I know is I struggle with anxiety and have worked hard to learn how to learn to love myself. Something about Harriet Tubman and Susan B. Anthony struck a chord in me when I was young and that chord has been resonating ever since.
